As the daughter of an Air Force officer, Jill has lived many places, including Maine and Alaska. She was born in Washington and attended William Byrd High School in Vinton, Virginia. She has finally decided to put down roots in Sparta, North Carolina.
Jill is no stranger to North Carolina. She attended East Carolina University on a full academic scholarship where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in German. Jill is easily identifiable as she often shows her Pirate Pride. During her last year of college, Jill studied abroad at Albert-Ludwigs University in Freiburg, Germany. She continued her education at Charlotte School of Law where she earned her law degree in 2014.
While in law school, Jill interned for the Office of General Counsel at INTERPOL in Washington, D.C. (U.S. Department of Justice), and spent a year working for the school’s immigration clinic representing clients in removal proceedings. After graduating law school, Jill worked as a Legal Fellow for Pisgah Legal Services in Asheville before moving to Northern Virginia where she continued her work in immigration.
Jill’s parents currently reside in North Carolina and she decided it was time to move closer to home. In May 2018, Jill began working for The Law Office of Heather R. Klein where she practices both criminal and civil litigation, and provides immigration legal services.
Jill is admitted to practice in North Carolina. She is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, and an active member of the Rotary.
